1 Under the leadership of Fritz Reiner (1888 - 1963), the Chicago Symphony Orchestra attained an enviable status among world orchestras. Televised concert from 1954.
2 Stokowski (1882-1977) appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in six seasons between 1958 and 1968.
3 A rare opportunity to see Hindemith (1895-1963) conducting his own music as well as music of the masters who inspired him.
